CANADIAN YOUTH BUSINESS FOUNDATION (CYBF) & IMPACT ENTREPRENEURSHIP GROUP

The Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) is the ‘go to’ place for youth entrepreneurship. As a national charity, we are dedicated to growing our nation’s economy one young entrepreneur at a time. We look at character not collateral when providing youth, age 18-34, with pre-launch coaching, business resources, start-up financing and mentoring to help them launch and sustain a successful entrepreneurial business.

Founded in 1996, CYBF has invested, to date, in more than 3,700 young entrepreneurs, whose businesses have created more than 17,100 new jobs, $106 million in tax revenue and hundreds of millions of dollars in sales and export revenue. CYBF delivers its program coast to coast through a national network of more than 150 community partners and 3,300 volunteers including business mentors.

IMPACT ENTREPRENEURSHIP GROUP

The Impact Entrepreneurship Group is Canada's largest non-profit, student-run organization dedicated to encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit amongst youth in Canada and becoming a starting point and catalyst for youth interested in entrepreneurship and leadership. Since 2004, Impact has developed programs both at the national and local level that have reached 500,000 young people to date. Consisting of over 100 student volunteers nationwide, Impact is dedicated to driving the entrepreneurial spirit.

Impact was founded in 2004 by a University of Waterloo student, Kunal Gupta. From that time onwards, Impact grew rapidly by expanding its team and the scope of its programs.  Impact’s annual conference now attracts 500 delegates, and other initiatives include Impact Apprentice, and Impact Expo Conference (the first conference attracted over 2,000 delegates from Waterloo and surrounding areas to one of Canada's hottest technology and entrepreneurial centres). 

Today Impact consists of over 100 young volunteers nationwide working out of its headquarters in Waterloo, Ontario, and its satellite offices in BC, Alberta and Ontario.

Impact's goal is to create the next generation of entrepreneurs and help young entrepreneurs realize their true potential. Impact connects people, knowledge and ideas, recognizing success and providing inspiration to leaders at every stage of their development.
