Bournemouth University (BU)

Bournemouth University (BU) has been rated as England’s top-ranked New University (post-1992) for the past three years by the Guardian League Tables – the UK University ranking similar to the Maclean’s University Rankings in Canada.

With a student body of nearly 18,000 students BU focuses on professionally focused degrees across six academic schools.  Our student body includes more than 1,600 international students representing nearly 130 countries from around the world, including approximately 15 Canadian students each year. Situated on the south coast of England and less than two hours from London by train, Bournemouth enjoys fantastic scenery and some of the country’s mildest weather.

BU’s professional teaching is cutting edge and closely linked to modern industry. Our academic schools focus on developing independent, lifelong learners in professional subjects such as Law, Taxation, Business, Computing, Hospitality, Management, Tourism, Multimedia Communications, Product Design, Computer Animation, Marketing and Media. We also offer science-related programs in Archaeology, Forensics and the Environment.

For those interested in Law, our 4-year LLB programs are suitable for students entering immediately after completing their Canadian high school study.
