Ohio Northern University is a co-educational, residential institution founded in 1871 and enrolling 3,600 students.

ONU’s Five Colleges:

The undergraduate colleges offer baccalaureate degrees in over 70 different major areas.  The College of Law offers a JD and LLM and the College of Pharmacy offers a PharmD. 

In the 2010 edition of America’s Best Colleges, US News & World Report ranks ONU number two among more than 300 Midwest baccalaureate colleges, the highest ranking given to any Ohio college in this category.  US News also lists Ohio Northern as an education of value in their “Great Schools, Great Prices” category.  You’ll find ONU in Princeton Review’s The Best 371 Colleges of Distinction (2010), and Creative Colleges:  A Guide for Student Actors, Artists, Dancers, Musicians, and Writers.

The university has a well-designed and maintained campus located in a 300-acre site in the village of Ada, a community with a population of around 5,000 in a rural area 15 miles east of Lima and approximately 1½ hours driving distance from Toledo, Dayton and Columbus.
