The University of East Anglia is a highly acclaimed institution with a strong international reputation, based in England’s most complete medieval city. Founded by Royal Charter in 1963, the University has been an educational pioneer in such areas as Environmental Sciences, International Development Studies, Creative Writing and interdisciplinary programmes such as our MBA in Strategic Carbon Management. Academic departments are divided amongst 4 faculties and 23 individual schools of study. Admission and scholarship are selective.
Campus grounds are a safe and friendly environment, designed by the eminent 20th century architect, Sir Denys Lasdun and located on 320 acres of rolling parkland on the edge of the beautiful city of Norwich. Personal and academic amenities include the university sports park, housing an Olympic-sized pool; the world-famous Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts; and annual International Literary Festival which includes many famous names such as Ian McEwan, Tracey Chevalier and Kazuo Ishiguro (all alumni of UEA’s Creative Writing program).
