Located at the gateway to the Pacific Rim, metro Vancouver is home to approximately 2.1 million people. This affluent community is the third largest metropolitan area in Canada, with the highest real estate prices and amongst the healthiest family incomes in Canada. Recently having successfully hosted the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, it is a vibrant and beautiful city loved by students from across Canada and around the world.

The area boasts the largest school districts in the province, with over 80 public secondary schools and many private schools within a 25 km (16 mile) radius of the downtown core. There are also three major universities – UBC, SFU and Capilano U – all within 20 minutes from the city centre. In addition, are the many community colleges – many offering degree programs – that feed into the universities in BC, across Canada, and internationally.

There are around 260,000 students currently enrolled in higher education programs within the Greater Vancouver Regional District – 80,000 alone at UBC and SFU – so the potential to reach many students is large. International students also enjoy studying in Vancouver, and with the many language schools offering Academic Preparation, the potential applicant prospects within this group are great. They too, are seeking post-secondary options, within and outside of BC and Canada.
